OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 is a label for textiles and clothing that have been tested for harmful substances. It sets the benchmark for textile safety, from yarn to finished product. Every item bearing the STANDARD 100 label is certified as having passed safety tests for the presence of harmful substances. OEKO-TEX® is a globally recognised standard to chemical regulation and compliance.

OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 requires strict adherence to limits of harmful substances that include:

  • azo colourants, PFAS, PFCs, Cadmium and Lead
  • numerous chemicals that are known to be harmful but are yet to be legally regulated
  • numerous substance classes that are relevant to environmental health

OEKO-TEX® reviews and updates its limit values on an annual basis to consistently ensure new research and scientific findings are followed.
